How does ordering from us work?

  1. Either in person or over the phone, we’ll discuss what you’d like the product to achieve.
  2. We’ll come back to you with a clear breakdown of the cost and the time-scale of the work. If you’re happy with this and wish us to proceed, we take a 10% deposit at this point.
  3. We’ll create a few test designs to make sure we’ve understood you properly.
  4. Based on your choices, we’ll design and fully test the product.
  5. For sites, we’ll walk you through it so that you fully understand how it all works.
  6. For sites, we’ll set up all the hosting requirements for your site.
  7. You’re happy! Here, we take the remaining 90%.
  8. We’ll publish your site and you can begin enjoying your well-earned home on the Internet.
  9. We fully document the process and archive the files involved in the production of your site. You get all of this for free, on CD.
  10. Long term, we can keep your site up-to-date for you or we can set it up so you can do it.

How easy is that!

We believe in our Philosophy & Guarantee. We’re only happy when your goals are met: if you have any reasonable problem with any stage of the process, we’ll put it right!

Browser Wars

It's worth mentioning, at this point, that, unless specifically asked, Myrddin do not design for Internet Explorer 6. This browser was released by Microsoft almost a decade ago. It has very poor support for modern design techniques. Microsoft are fully aware of its failings and have released IE 7 (a huge improvement, but still not perfect) and, now, IE 8. IE 7 & IE 8 are free upgrades. If you have IE 6 (on Vista or XP) you can upgrade to IE 7 or IE 8 for free.

Today, very few people are in a situation where they have no alternative but to use IE 6: mainly office-based workers with very old machines. Web designers need to jump through a great many hoops to make modern websites work in IE 6 and, as the number of people using it is so low, it simply isn't worth it.

That said... if you feel that a significant percentage of your customers may have very old machines and are not able to upgrade, we will design your site so that it works in IE 6 as well as later versions.

Feel free to contact us if you'd like help upgrading.
